The effect of the rain has impacted teams training at Summerhayes and this is likely to continue this week. Whilst ever the council have fields closed across the LGA, Summerhayes will be unavailable for any football activities. Once council declare the fields open, the committee will make a further assessment whether Summerhayes is safe for training and matches. The committee will make every endeavour to open the fields to our members when it is suitable to do so.
If teams wish to train at alternate venues whilst the fields are closed, please be aware of the club's policy before embarking upon such a venture. Coaches/managers are required to make contact via email with the Secretary and President of Football seeking permission. Information which is required is the time, date and place; the name of the person responsible for the venue including contact details. Please do not use an alternate venue until a response is received via email confirming the same.
NOTE: swimming pools are not permitted to be used as per the regulations of Football NSW.
Hopefully this wet weather will abate shortly and everyone will be back on the pitch soon. The committee thanks all members for their patience during this period.
